About Me
Background
I grew up competing in mathematics and sports. I decided to skip going to IIT and instead spent my undergraduate years in Philadelphia.
I studied at the University of Pennsylvania, earning an M.S. in Computer Science and a B.S.E. in Networked and Social Systems Engineering, with concentrations in AI and Data Science and a minor in Mathematics. I met some insanely inspiring people and learned a lot.
Work
I'm currently a quant trader at IMC Trading in Chicago, focused on systematic equity options. Previously, I interned at RBC Capital Markets on the rates and FX desk.
Before quant trading, I was a software engineer at Raytheon, working on the James Webb Space Telescope ground control station. I designed systems for telecommand packets between ground and space. I also built banking software at SEI Investments. I was really fortunate to work with some amazing people at both companies.
What I'm Building
I work on AI systems for high-stakes domains. My current focus is to solve taxes. I am always looking for new ways to use AI to help people, and would love to hear about any ideas you have.
Philosophy
Self-respect is the foundation. As Joan Didion wrote, it's about having the "moral nerve" to make decisions that might be mistakes.
There are no authoritative sources of knowledge, only conjecture, criticism, and testing -Karl Popper I try to think from first principles rather than inherited wisdom.
Interests
I read across domains—physics (Feynman, Rovelli), philosophy (Deutsch, Krishnamurti), game theory, and science fiction (Ted Chiang). I believe the best thinking happens at intersections.
For physical training, I follow a minimalist approach: daily bodyweight work, table tennis, and deliberate rest. I'm interested in how environment shapes output—sleep quality, focused work sessions, and reducing unnecessary decisions.
